South America Tour Led By Cultural Specialist Terrel Jones

Ubiquity International Offers Family Travel Experience to Perú

Piedmont, CA – March 1, 2006 – For Terrel Jones, leading cultural travel tours to Perú is like welcoming new friends to a country she once called home. Jones, 57, is a Perú Cultural Specialist for Ubiquity International, the premier provider of unique cultural, historical and educational travel experiences throughout the world.

“Perú is a sensory explosion of pleasure, explore it with us,” said Thomas Talboy, who founded Ubiquity International in 2004 to become a distinctive travel firm offering one-of-a-kind trips led by Cultural Specialists. “A Cultural Specialist is a person with advanced knowledge and a deep love of a particular area related to a tour. They provide the extra bit of personal attention and insight that makes each Ubiquity International tour memorable.”

Living and teaching art in Perú during the 1970s, where she married a Perúvian and had two daughters, Jones adapted to the indigenous and Spanish-influenced cultures. Her insider experiences and desire to share her knowledge with travelers are a winning combination that makes the family cultural tour to Perú so popular for Ubiquity International.

From August 23 to September 2, Jones accompanies the group each day to the cultural and historical highlights of Lima, Machu Picchu, Cuzco and Lake Titicaca. The itinerary includes educational seminars led by Jones, certain meals and stops at the Anthropological and Archaeological Museum in Lima, Sacsayhuaman, Chinchero, the Inca Trail, Sacred Valley and more.

Recently retired, Jones taught art and Spanish in Montana for more than 20 years. She is an accomplished artist and holds a master’s degree in painting from the University of Montana in Missoula. Jones’ appreciation of nature, design, color and texture are vibrantly expressed in her works of art.

“My paintings are influenced by my years spent in South America, where color and patterning are prominent elements of indigenous art,” explained Jones, who also credits her time in Perú to becoming fluent in Spanish.

In addition to Perú, Ubiquity International offers specialized itineraries to destinations in Italy, France, Greece, Spain and Ireland. Tours are led by Cultural Specialists who share their knowledge about the language, art, history and culture of the destinations, offering travelers a unique perspective into the sites and cities visited.
